Technical Writer - Software

6 months, with extensions or hire.

Our client is looking for the contract role of a Technical Writer to join their engineering team for 2024.

This position reports directly to the Director of Engineering and Principal Engineer, where it will require you to be able to shadow them to gather data, and materials, and then be able to create proper documentation. This position is needed for the emerging technology based around their 5G network, and to help train their expanding engineering team.

The company's main focus is on entertainment and sports broadcasting. They have created fast transmissions and bandwidth to receive data for live broadcasting events and programs. Their engineering department right now is sitting at approve 25 people, but you would be the main responsible for this role.

Requirements of the Role:

• Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Writing, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience in the engineering industry.
• Experiences from 0-5 years, will accept new college grads.
• Ability to understand the software, hardware and firmware concepts to document, so some time of experience in that would be preferred.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Confidence working with highly technical people across the globe to get answers to questions so you can deliver the right level of information.
