Network Engineer (AWS)

We are seeking to hire a Network Engineer with strong AWS experience on behalf of our Dublin-based client in the Manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will help to optimise and maintain the cloud network environment.

Duties:

• Design and deploy scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant network architectures on AWS.
• Implement and manage VPCs, subnets, route tables, and gateways.
• Implement and manage network security measures, including security groups, network ACLs, and WAF.
• Monitor network performance and availability using AWS CloudWatch and other monitoring tools.
• Develop and maintain network automation scripts using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on cloud environments. At least 2 years of hands-on experience with AWS networking services.
• Proficiency in designing and managing VPCs, subnets, route tables, and gateways on AWS.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like AWS CloudWatch, Nagios, or similar.
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation purposes.
