Cyber Security Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cyber Security Specialist to join our client's team in Dublin. This role involves implementing and managing security measures to protect IT systems, networks, and data against cyber threats.

Cyber Security Specialist Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement security policies, protocols, and procedures.
• Monitor and analyze network traffic for unusual activity, and respond to security breaches.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
• Provide Level 3 support for security-related incidents and issues.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in a cyber security role.
• Expertise in SIEM tools such as Splunk, ArcSight, or QRadar.
• Proficient in security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, and endpoint protection.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, operating systems, and encryption technologies.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to think like a hacker to anticipate and mitigate security threats.
