Software Developer (Kafka, DevOps)

My client, a market leader in the Professional Services space, is looking for a seasoned Software Developer specialising in Kafka-based development with expertise deploying to Kubernetes.

You will be working on some of the most innovative software solutions while supporting globally recognised clients in the Fintech and Telco spaces on some of their most impactful projects to maximise the power of their products.

Software Developer (Kafka) - Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Kafka-based solutions, deploying to Kubernetes.
• Utilising tools such as Strimzi and developing Kafka Connect connectors and Kafka Streams applications to process and analyse data.
• Monitor and troubleshoot Kafka clusters and implement security and access controls for Kafka clusters using Strimzi core features.
• Architect and manage Kafka clusters using Strimzi on Kubernetes or OpenShift.

Software Developer (Kafka) - Required Experience:

• 5+ years in Software Development with significant expertise in Kafka
• Demonstrable experience of delivering quality Kafka solutions in a complex and fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven programming, and messaging architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure of GCP is desirable.
