Security Engineer

We're seeking an experienced Application Security Engineer to join our client in Dublin. The successful candidate will be involved in ensuring the security of applications and software systems.

You will be responsible for assessing and mitigating security risks in our client's applications. This will involve;

• conducting security code reviews
• implementing security best practices 
• collaborating with development teams to enhance their application security posture
• performing vulnerability assessments
• recommending remediation actions
• ensuring compliance with industry best practices & standards

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of secure coding practices, application vulnerabilities, and security assessment tools.

Hybrid model (3 days per week in office). 

Required Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security etc. 
• Knowledge of application security principles, secure coding practices, and common vulnerabilities
• Experience with application security assessment tools
• Experience performing security code reviews and manual application penetration testing
• Understanding of secure SDLC methodologies
• Familiarity with programming languages (Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript) and web technologies (HTML, CSS, REST, SOAP)
• Knowledge of secure coding practices for web and mobile applications
• Understanding of cloud security concepts and technologies (AWS, Azure etc.)
• Excellent leadership and delegation skills
• Excellent communication skills (at levels up to Director & C Suite)
