Embedded Software/Hardware Engineer

My client is seeking an experienced embedded software engineer who is hands-on with hardware, coding, and PCB design and creation. They are out of the start-up stage, coming into 10 years in the Medical Device Industry.

They have international customers in Asia, China and other countries, but you will not be required to do anything more but sit in a few meetings from time to time.

The engineering team is 10 people strong, and you will be the sole provider for the coding in this role. Directly reporting to the CTO and 90 working alongside some younger engineers. The reason this role has come about is in the next 2 years they would like to grow the team and add 3-5 more engineers.

You will primarily be responding to the customer requirements, and working on the legacy software/hardware, and working to the next generation of one of the 3 product lines. This is truly a mix of an embedded engineer with a core understanding or ability to learn electrical engineering traits (or previously hands-on experiences to get back into it).

For the Role, candidates will need:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Computer Engineering / Computer Science with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience troubleshooting with software & hardware issues about electronics and boards.
• Ability to take on projects independently and work with customer deadlines in different time zones.
• You could be asked to mentor for short periods or help assist the younger engineers.
• Hands-on experience with coding C# and Linux is a plus!!!
• Expert in coding languages such as C, C++ (Recent Versions 14, 17, 20, 23) and Python.
• Worked with manufacturing products, wireless electronics and/or medical technology industry.

We will consider someone fresh out of a master's program with prior internships, and the ability to take a technical skills oral exam and/or a PCB board exercise
