Senior Performance Engineer

About the Role:

Our client, a leading technology firm based in Limerick, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Performance Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a full-time, on-site position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including healthcare and pension.

As a Senior Performance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our client's systems and applications are optimized for peak performance. You will be responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing performance tests using the latest tools and technologies, identifying bottlenecks, and recommending improvements. Your expertise will be key in helping the team deliver high-quality, scalable solutions.

Performance Engineer Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain performance testing strategies.
• Utilize cutting-edge performance testing tools and technologies to ensure optimal system performance.
• Identify and diagnose performance bottlenecks across applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to implement performance enhancements.
• Provide detailed analysis and reports on performance testing results.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and tools to continuously improve performance testing practices.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers within the team.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Performance Engineer, with a strong background in performance testing and optimization.
• Expertise in using the latest performance testing tools (e.g., LoadRunner, JMeter, Gatling, Dynatrace, etc.).
• Solid understanding of performance testing methodologies and best practices.
• Experience with analyzing and troubleshooting performance issues in complex systems.
• Strong scripting skills for performance test automation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
