I'm hiring for a Senior Aruba Network Engineer with my client in South Dublin.
This is an initial 6-month day rate contract position.
Onsite 1-2 days per week with travel within Ireland to be expected for site visits.
Responsibilities:
- Completing relevant project artefacts for network-focused projects (High-Level Design, Low-Level Design, Change Requests and Acceptance into Service Artefacts).
- Implementing solutions for network projects.
- Review project designs and change requests to ensure business process improvements have been undertaken and requirements are documented correctly.
- Knowledge transfer & training to relevant Service Team
- Working with the PMO to ensure projects run smoothly.
- Providing input to the development and promotion of technical standards & templates e.g. architecture assessment documents.
- Assisting in the prioritisation of work requests with the PMO and Business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related area.
- Experience working with third-party vendors including ISPs, Cloud Suppliers and Telcos in the Irish Market.
- Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in a large enterprise network environment.
- Certifications in the following (Preferable): Aruba Mobility, Aruba Clearpass, Aruba Switching and Aruba Design
- ITIL certification desirable
Experience and Competencies:
- Expert knowledge of WAN/LAN Technologies.
- Experience in the design, configuration & implementation of Data Centre and branch office networks.
- Excellent knowledge of Wireless Technologies (Aruba).
- Knowledge of Network IP Address Design & Optimisation.
- Good understanding of routing protocols (OSPF and BGP).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver service in high-demand / pressure circumstances.
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate accurately and clearly to business and IT users.
- Good problem-solving, reporting and documentation skills.
- Good presentation skills & ability to host meetings to an audience.
- Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative as well as in a team environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to recognise when to prioritise & report clearly on service demand.
- Good Knowledge of the latest vendor offerings and industry trends.
