My client, an established Irish software house, is embarking on an exciting journey to build an innovative AI product leveraging large language models (LLMs).

Currently, in the early phase of development, this is a unique opportunity to be a key player in shaping the future of AI within a well-respected company. They are seeking an exceptionally talented Principal Software Engineer to lead and drive this new initiative.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of cutting-edge AI products with a focus on large language models (LLMs).
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a growing engineering team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure cloud-based solutions.
• Drive best practices for coding, testing, and deployment, ensuring high-quality software.
• Work closely with stakeholders to align development efforts with business goals.
• Play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the product and technology strategy.

Skills & Experience Required:

• Extensive development experience: Proven expertise in Python is essential. Experience in TypeScript is advantageous.
• Cloud technologies: Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Containerization & orchestration: Familiarity with Kubernetes and other containerization technologies is highly desirable.
• Leadership ability: Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring technical teams, with a collaborative and strategic mindset. 'Lead' title is not necessary.
• Problem-solving skills: Ability to tackle complex challenges and deliver creative, scalable solutions.
• Some understanding of AI concepts and a passion for driving innovation and an interest in LLMs would be advantageous.
