My client, a global powerhouse in the financial services space, is looking for a Director of Product Management to nurture and develop the Digital Product Management function and team. You will focus on the skill and career development of your team members, while ensuring alignment with the organisation's scaled agile operating model and organisational goals. You will come from a strong product management background with a passion for developing product people and growing the wider capability.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and collaborate with Product and Agile Delivery Managers to develop and roll out a comprehensive career development framework considering skill assessment, training programmes, and mentorship
  • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the impact of the career development pathway enabling tracking over time
  • Collaborate with HR and senior leadership teams to find talent gaps and develop strategies to improve the Product Management function
  • Lead training workshops and coaching sessions to improve technical and soft skills for the Product team
  • Drive initiatives to continuously develop processes, tooling, and methodologies utilising Scaled Agile frameworks
  • Provide Technical Leadership to a combination of People Managers and senior individual contributors

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in Product Management with 3+ years in a senior leadership role
  • Experience in the design and implementation of career development programmes within a scaled Agile environment
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and frameworks, including Scrum, Kanban, SAFe etc.
  • Ability to collaborate with wider teams and inspire and motivate a high-performing team
  • Certified Product Manager, Certified Product Owner, SAFe Program Consultant etc. desirable 
  • Experience in the Insurance and Benefits technology domains is desirable
