Senior Cloud Engineer

Hybrid | 6 months, potential extension

Role Overview:

We're seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to take the lead in optimising, managing, and scaling cloud infrastructure solutions for a large enterprise. You will work across multiple projects, ensuring cloud services are cost-efficient, secure, and aligned with the company's strategic goals. This role involves hands-on management of cloud environments, implementing best practices for automation, and collaborating closely with development, security, and infrastructure teams.

You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for delivering cloud solutions, ensuring the systems remain available, scalable, and secure. This is an exciting opportunity to work on innovative cloud projects and play a key role in driving the company's cloud strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize cloud-based infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, and other IaC tools
• Collaborate with development and security teams to ensure continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines are secure and efficient
• Manage Kubernetes clusters and containerized applications, ensuring high availability and performance
• Troubleshoot production and staging environments, proactively monitoring for potential issues
• Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and design cloud solutions that align with technical and organizational goals
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices, including security and regulatory requirements
• Document processes and architectures to ensure consistent communication across teams

Skills & Qualifications:

• 7+ years experience in Cloud Engineering, with expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
• Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Understanding of cloud security practices, including IAM, networking, and encryption
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK
• Experience with load balancing, firewalls, and network security technologies
• Cloud certification in AWS, Azure, or GCP is a plus
