We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Business Development Representative to join a growing software company operating in the education and financial service space. This is a great opportunity for fresh college graduates, those who come from door-to-door sales, those ready to transition into software sales, or you are just ready to try something new. Did we mention you'd be able to work in 1 of the multiple emerging markets this company is launching depending on skillset? While you are supporting an Account Executive team, there is a fast promotion rate to get into a closing role yourself.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential clients through various channels, including LinkedIn, Sourcing Tools (ZoomInfo/Apollo/Seamless etc.), social media, networking events, and industry databases.
  • Engage with prospects via phone calls, emails, and social media to introduce the software/services and generate interest to potential clients.
  • Assess prospects to determine their needs and suitability, ensuring they align with your target market.
  • Schedule meetings between qualified leads and the Account Executive sales team to further discuss opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and progress in their CRM system: Salesforce.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 1+ years of sales experience is preferred in technology sales, but this is not a requirement 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools is preferred but not required. 
  • Previous experience in sales or business development is a plus but not required.
