IT Systems Administrator

A client of mine is looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join their growing team in Cork. This role will primarily focus on maintaining and optimising the company's IT infrastructure while providing support across server, network, and cloud environments.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers, including Active Directory administration.
• Configure and support Office 365 and Azure cloud services.
• Monitor and troubleshoot network issues, including firewalls, VPNs, and switches.
• Perform routine system checks, updates, and backups to ensure optimal performance and security.
• Provide Level 2/3 technical support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a Systems Administrator, with strong Windows and Linux server experience.
• Experience with network administration, including firewalls, VPNs, and routing protocols.
• Solid understanding of server virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
