Network Engineer

A client of mine is seeking a skilled Network Engineer with 4 years of experience to join their team in Dublin. This role will focus on managing and maintaining network infrastructure, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to ongoing networking projects in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor network performance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot network issues and resolve them promptly to maintain connectivity.
• Support VPNs, WAN, and LAN systems to ensure stable and secure communications.
• Document network configurations, changes, and maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure network security policies are enforced.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of experience as a Network Engineer.
• Proficiency with networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and equipment (Cisco, Juniper).
• Strong experience with firewall configuration and management (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Hands-on experience with VPNs, WAN, and LAN systems.
• Knowledge of network security and encryption technologies.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or Cisco Certified Network Professional are preferred.
