Senior Android Engineer

Location: Dublin (Hybrid)

Our Dublin-based client is looking for a skilled Senior Android Engineer to join their innovative team on a one-year contract. If you have a passion for developing seamless, high-performing mobile applications and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this is the opportunity for you!

Role Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain high-quality Android applications with a focus on user experience and functionality
  Manage app submissions, updates, and performance tracking on the Google Play Store
• Use AWS services and Cloudwatch for monitoring and troubleshooting
• Ensure optimal app performance, stability, and scalability through continuous testing and improvements
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product, UI/UX, and Backend Engineers, to deliver innovative solutions

Must-Have Skills & Experience:

• Strong expertise in Android development with a solid understanding of the Android SDK
• Proficiency in Kotlin for Android app development
• Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for UI development
• Knowledge of app lifecycle management, from development to deployment and updates
• Experience using AWS services, including Cloudwatch for logging and monitoring
• Understanding of CI/CD practices to streamline development and deployment
• Strong experience working with RESTful APIs and API Gateway for backend connectivity
• Proficient in version control using GIT for collaborative development.
