Our client is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to join their Data & AI team at their headquarters in Cork. You will be at the forefront of their data science initiatives, leading a talented team to design, develop, and deploy models that solve complex business challenges. You'll work cross-functionally to identify strategic opportunities, turn insights into action, and help establish data science as a key pillar of their decision-making process. The successful candidate will oversee and lead a team of talented Data Scientists and report directly to the Data Science Manager.
Requirements:
- Master's or Ph.D. in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 7+ years experience in data science roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or mentorship capacity
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and familiarity with big data frameworks like Spark, Hadoop, or similar
- Deep understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning, time-series analysis, NLP, and experience deploying models in production
