We are working with a consultancy firm who are seeking a Data Engineer to join their growing Data team in Dublin. You will help to build, maintain, and scale their data infrastructure. As a core member of the data team, you will play a critical role in developing ETL pipelines, optimizing data workflows, and ensuring data is accessible, reliable, and secure. The work of the successful candidate will directly impact the ability of the teams to make data-driven decisions, enhance their products, and improve customer experience.
Requirements:
- 3+ years as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
- Proficient in SQL and working with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, Oracle)
- Strong programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java
- Experience with cloud data services (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with data pipeline and ETL tools (Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, AWS Glue)
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra)
- Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark)
- Familiarity with machine learning workflows and data science toolsets
- Exposure to real-time data streaming tools (Kafka)
