IT Systems Administrator

Our client is looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to manage and support their core IT infrastructure in Dublin. This role is suited to someone skilled in systems administration across Windows and Linux environments, with responsibilities spanning network management, server maintenance, and security monitoring.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime
• Manage Active Directory, including user account setup, group policies, and permissions
• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and routers
• Implement and manage security protocols, conducting regular vulnerability assessments
• Oversee software installations, updates, and configuration changes across systems
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and network issues, escalating as needed

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in systems administration, with a strong focus on Windows and Linux
• Proficiency in Active Directory, networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP), and VPN management
• Experience with cloud environments, ideally Azure
• Knowledge of scripting with PowerShell or Bash is a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to system optimization
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, CompTIA Security+, or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) are desirable
