IT Support Specialist

A client of mine is looking for an experienced IT Support Specialist to join their team in Galway. This role involves providing Level 2 support, troubleshooting technical issues, and contributing to IT improvement initiatives within the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 support for Windows environments, including user account management in Active Directory.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Support the configuration and deployment of Microsoft 365 applications.
• Assist in maintaining and supporting network infrastructure, including switches and firewalls.
• Document technical solutions and manage support tickets to ensure timely resolution.
• Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT tools and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT teams on system upgrades and infrastructure projects.

Requirements:

• 6+ years of experience in IT support, with a focus on Windows and Microsoft technologies.
• Proficiency in Active Directory, Office 365, and basic networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting and Microsoft Azure services.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator are a plus.
