IT Support Engineer

A client of mine is looking for an IT Support Engineer to join their team in Cork. This role is ideal for someone early in their IT career who is eager to grow their skills in a hands-on, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will provide Level 1 and Level 2 support across various technologies while gaining exposure to infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Assist with troubleshooting hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
• Support the setup and maintenance of user accounts in Active Directory.
• Collaborate with senior engineers on system upgrades and IT projects.
• Respond to and resolve support tickets in a timely manner, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues and resolutions.
• Provide on-site technical support to end-users.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and Office 365.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP).
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• A proactive approach to learning and taking on new challenges.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified: Fundamentals are an advantage.
